Our annual Grills ‘n’ Thrills extravaganza comes to Detroit for the first time! Join Bog & Thunder and Bev’s Bagels for a good old-fashioned city park cookout, Kevin Burke style! We’ve flipped the script this year and will start Kevin’s residency with an outdoor feast featuring merguez, grilled fish, and plenty of accompaniments.
We’ll have NA beverages available, but please BYOB (with cups!) for alcohol. Weather permitting, we will have indoor and outdoor seating available.

Pizza Night with Kevin Burke at
Third Thursdays on Grand River & Warren

Join us in Detroit’s Core City for Third Thursdays on Grand River & Warren, where chef Kevin will co-host a special pizza pop-up at Bev’s Bagels with Max!
Third Thursdays is a collaboration between multiple Core City businesses, including Periodicals, Season Office, Archive, Café Prince, and more—featuring an art show and live dj sets.

We are thrilled to welcome chef Kevin Burke from Dublin’s Library Street for his second series of Michigan pop-ups this summer! Kevin opened his restaurant in 2021, and it quickly became one of the most sought-after reservations in Ireland’s capital city. Since then, they have gone on to win numerous awards for their food and hospitality, and were recently named one of the best restaurants in Ireland in the Sunday Times.
Kevin’s stye is a perfect blend of creative and classic, technique and intuition, complexity and restraint. Kevin’s approach is ingredient-focused and lets ingredients shine without getting too fussy. Library Street is designed around sharing, with each plate intended to accompany a great conversation rather than stealing the show.
Kevin will be cooking for a limited number of guests for two seatings on both Friday and Saturday nights, August 21st & 22nd at ALEO, a gorgeous bed & breakfast housed in an old rectory in Detroit’s Little Village neighborhood.
Wine pairings and cocktails will be offered by Father Forgive Me and available for purchase onsite.
