Long known for her passion for seasonal, sustainable food, Ireland seemed to be the world’s best kept culinary secret. We’re thrilled to partner with chef Akasha to showcase her favorite restaurants, artisanal experiences, and activities on a ten night tour. We’ll stay at the best hotels, dine at Akasha’s favorite spots, enjoy the fresh country air, and engage in activities like foraging, making butter, and kayaking under the stars. An Epic Irish Adventure with Youngmi Mayer

In celebration of standup comedian Youngmi Mayer’s new memoir, I’m Laughing Because I’m Crying, we’re headed to Ireland for an unforgettable trip! You probably know Youngmi Mayer from her hilarious videos online. And yet: Unless you’ve read Youngmi’s book, you may not know that her paternal grandmother is from Ireland. She’s just as Irish—and probably even more so—than the lads over in Boston who shout it from the rooftops.
This all-inclusive trip begins in Dublin and culminates in Belfast and explores many of the central themes that run through Youngmi’s memoir, such as political history, identity, and heritage—and that’s just the fun stuff! The Irish are known for their humor, music, hospitality, and craic. We’ll stay at the best hotels, eat incredible food, and spend a lot of time outdoors at the peak of the Irish summer tourist season. We’ll also have the opportunity to support Youngmi at a public event in Belfast as part of the trip.
This will be Youngmi’s first time in this ancestral homeland, and you can come along for the ride. Come and see a side of modern Ireland that you really can’t experience with anyone else!
A copy of Youngmi’s memoir is included in the tour for each guest.

Join us for our third annual writing retreat in collaboration with writer/podcasters adrienne maree brown and Autumn Brown! Next summer, we’ll gather on Ireland’s west coast for a writing workshop unlike any other. Come ideate, experiment with genre, and find a writing voice that creates more possibilities for our collective future, all while exploring the stunning, wild beauty of Ireland and eating outstanding food. This event will be rooted in the lineages of visionary and speculative fiction and Black Feminist Praxis. We will have a beautiful balance of private writing retreat time, collective world-building with fellow artists, practical skill development, and local adventure.

Join us for FISH + FARM, a 3-night all-inclusive retreat featuring two incredible chefs known for their commitments to flavor & sustainability: Abra Berens (Granor Farm, MI) & Aishling Moore (Goldie, Cork). We will explore Connemara’s wild and rugged landscape with a guided hike, and get to spend time with local artisans, designers, and folklorists. Abra and Aishling will share their incredible expertise through collaborative masterclasses. We will finish off the weekend with a meal we cook together using ingredients we foraged and locally caught fish and seafood.
